NIKE AIR FORCE 1 LOW "WEST INDIES" debuted in an alternate colorway. In the early 2000s, Nike released the Air Force 1 "West Indies" in celebration of the West Indian Day Parade held every first Monday in September in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. From 2002 to 2005, four different colorways were launched to celebrate the culture of the West Indies. In 2022, Nike Sportswear brings back the OG 2002 colorway to celebrate the 20th and 40th anniversary of the Air Force 1. Unlike the original, this Nike Air Force 1 Low features Yellow contrasting detailing. It features a White leather base, mesh tongue and lining, West Indies branding on the tongue tab, lace trim, and side heels embroidered in Caribbean colors. Completing the design is a graphic insole that lists all the small islands in the Caribbean.
